Coaches and advisors play a critical role in the Anyone Can Save A Life program. They work with their team to develop and implement an Emergency Action Plan.

Implementation Checklist for Coaches and Advisors

Be trained on how to save a life. School personnel will identify and provide this training.

Develop an Emergency Action Plan (EAP) for every venue their teams use.

Train team members on EAP.

Practice each EAP with their team.

Provide each EAP to their school’s Activities Administrator.

Identify and share the location of Automated External Defibrillators (AED) for each venue used by their team.

Share with parents/guardians the purpose and value of the Anyone Can Save a Life program and how it is being implemented with your team.

Create Your Emergency Action Plan

Emergencies go hand-in-hand with after-school participation, so it is not a matter of if one will happen; it’s a matter of when. By having an Emergency Action Plan (EAP) in place for life-threatening events, you are preparing your school community to respond immediately to get the help that is needed.

Save lives with a simple protocol including:

Calling 911 to alert the Emergency Medical System (EMS)

Early Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Easy access to and quick use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

Easy transition  to Emergency Medical System (EMS)
